NIGERIAN BUSINESS COMMUNITY SOUTH AFRICA (NIBUCOSA)

 

NIBUCOSA was born out of the need for respect for the average

Nigerian business man resident in the republic of South Africa.

For a long time the Nigerian community has been present in South Africa and has for long engaged in commerce activities within the country, but despite the contribution she made to the growth of the nation of South Africa she has been largely accused of criminal activities, which has impacted negatively to the image of the nation of South Africa.

 

True as it may be that a minute section of the population of the community of Nigeria have engaged in illegal and criminal activities that have gone a long way in denting the image of the entire community of Nigerians, it is not true to assume that all Nigerians resident in the nation of South Africa are pre-disposed to criminal and illegal activities.

 

We at the Nigerian Business Community South African Chapter (NIBUCOSA) believe that a great deal of this misunderstanding of the Nigerian within the nation of South Africa was caused largely due to lack of proper representation of the community of Nigerians.

It is line with this knowledge that NIBUCOSA was formed, to project the average Nigerian Business Man within the Nation of South Africa as a law abiding individual. Who is devoted to promoting the ethics of his business, and in the process contributing to the building of a more formidable and successful South Africa.

NIBUCOSA has as its goals the following:

 

· To uphold the business ethics of the nation of South Africa, practicing the code of conduct of business as prescribed by the South African constitution.

 

· To represent the Nigerian Business Community within the Nation of South Africa, being her voice within the system of governance of the country. Insisting on her rights and privileges as provided within the South African constitution.

 

· To attract investors, especially Nigerians, to the South African business environment, thereby contributing to the promotion of the South African business environment .

 

· To assist the law enforcement agencies within the Nation of South Africa in curbing illegal and criminal activities of the Nigerian business community within the country.
